Tunisia-Turkey Investment and Cooperation Forum

The Tunisia-Turkey Investment and Cooperation Forum was held from July 29 to 31 in Istanbul, Turkey, with the participation of Ahmed Ben Sghir, the Tunisian Ambassador to Ankara.

Objective

The objective of the forum is to establish closer ties between the two countries and consolidate their cooperation in several sectors, including:

  • Renewable energy
  • Aeronautics
  • Automotive industry

Current Investment and Trade

Currently, 69 Turkish companies are established in Tunisia, with a total investment of approximately $200 million. However, this level is considered below the potential that the two economies could achieve. On the Turkish side, the goal is to reach a trade volume of $1.6 billion. Turkish exports reached $273.4 billion in 2025, with $1.2 billion destined for Tunisia. Bilateral trade has evolved from $1.46 billion in 2024 to nearly $1.68 billion a year later.

Tunisian Delegation

The Tunisian delegation included the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA), the Central Bank of Tunisia (BCT), and around 30 companies active in various sectors such as:

  • Logistics The B2B meetings organized in parallel aimed to prepare for a joint breakthrough in third-party African markets in the long term.
