Notification of Disruptions to TGM Train and Road Traffic
The Tunis Transportation Company informs users of the Tunis - La Goulette - La Marsa (TGM) train, as well as motorists, that work will be carried out on Sunday, September 7, 2025, for the installation of the supports of the bridge located at kilometer point 15.990, called "Carthage Hannibal". These works will cause the following disruptions to traffic:
Disruptions to TGM Train Traffic
- TGM Train Disruption: From 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, traffic will be interrupted between Kheireddine and La Marsa Plage stations. However, normal traffic will be maintained between Tunis Marine and La Goulette Casino stations. To compensate for this interruption, bus service number 347 will be reinforced throughout the day, with frequent departures during peak hours ensuring the connection between Tunis Marine and Sidi Bou Saïd.
Disruptions to Road Traffic
- Road Traffic Disruption: The Hannibal bridge will be closed from 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Traffic will be diverted according to the following routes:
- Vehicles coming from Sidi Bou Saïd must continue their route and make a U-turn via the Amilcar bridge and Habib Bourguiba street.
- Vehicles coming from La Goulette towards the La Marsa suburb are invited to continue their route and make a U-turn via the Amilcar bridge.
The Tunis Transportation Company calls for the understanding of users, emphasizing that these works are part of the renewal of railway infrastructure.
