Annual Conference of the Tunisian Institute of Administrators: Artificial Intelligence, an Opportunity and a Risk for Businesses

The annual conference of the Tunisian Institute of Administrators (ITA), held on June 6, brought together national and international experts to discuss the interaction between artificial intelligence and governance, as well as the associated challenges and perspectives.

The meeting focused on the fundamental relationship between technological progress and the development of corporate governance systems and banks. Today, governance is digitized and will even function with forms of artificial intelligence that will make it more reliable and efficient.

Moez Joudi, President of the Tunisian Institute of Administrators, emphasized that the ITA has become the reference professional association for representing company and bank administrators in Tunisia, promoting good governance and transparency practices in businesses and banks.

The ITA is responsible for training and informing administrators, raising awareness about their rights and obligations. In just four years, the institute has trained and certified 120 company and bank administrators, creating a pool of talent for businesses and credit institutions in Tunisia.

Through its partnerships and activism, the association has been able to adapt to changes and evolutions in the economic and financial world.

Joudi also revealed that last year, ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) challenges were highlighted, with recommendations and action plans that led to a partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). From now on, the focus is on technology, innovation, and progress.

The conference concluded with the awarding of certificates to ITA graduates. Notably, attention was drawn to the partnership with PwC for the certification program for Presidents and members of Audit and Risk Committees, as well as the partnership with the Banking and Financial Council (CBF) for the development and publication of the Governance Code for banks and financial institutions.
