Ines Messaoudi Appointed General Manager of Sheraton Djibouti

She knows this hotel like the back of her hand. In fact, that's an understatement: Ines Messaoudi has just been appointed General Manager of the Sheraton Djibouti, effective January 19, 2026. This appointment marks a milestone in the hotel's history, as she becomes the first woman to hold this position.

However, for Ines, this is not a new beginning - it's a culmination. She joined the Sheraton Djibouti in November 2021 as Administrative and Financial Director, before taking on the interim general management role for six months in 2024. It's safe to say that the hotel is already familiar territory for her.

A Career Built Brick by Brick

Behind this appointment lies a 25-year career carefully crafted in the hospitality and finance industries. It all started in July 2001 in Tunis, at the headquarters of the Accor group, where she began as Deputy Administrative and Financial Director. Ten years later, she joined the Novotel Tunis and Ibis Tunis, where she stayed for over six years. She then worked with several Tunisian companies - SGH, Belgat Company Consulting, Seabel Group - before settling in Djibouti.

Her education? A master's degree in accounting from the Institut Supérieur de Commerce de Sfax. Solid.

A Woman of Action and Passion

Beyond numbers and Excel spreadsheets, Ines Messaoudi is a curious and adventurous person. She's an avid scuba diver, photographer, traveler, and decorator, and is committed to personal development. Trilingual (French, Arabic, and some Italian), she embodies a certain idea of openness to the world.

With her extensive experience and passion for the industry, Ines Messaoudi is well-equipped to lead the Sheraton Djibouti to new heights. Her appointment is a testament to her hard work and dedication, and a milestone for women in leadership positions in the hospitality industry.
