Industry Innovation Day 2026: Shaping the Future of the Automotive Sector in Tunisia
The new edition of the Industry Innovation Day will take place on Thursday, June 4, 2026, organized by the Tunisian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Tunisia) in partnership with the Tunisian Automotive Association (TAA) and GIZ Tunisia.

Focus on the Automotive Sector
Since its first edition in 2018, the Industry Innovation Day (IID) has highlighted the trends, innovations, and expertise of the industrial sector every two years. This year, the focus will be on the automotive sector.
The Tunisian Automotive Sector: A Pillar of the National Economy
The Tunisian automotive sector is currently one of the pillars of the national economy, with over 280 companies and 120,000 employees in 2025, generating around 3.9 billion euros in exports, mainly to Europe (Germany, France). This positions Tunisia as a competitive industrial hub in North Africa. In a global context marked by the electrification of vehicles, the digitization of production chains, and the growth of the circular economy, Tunisia has real assets to consolidate its position as a strategic hub for the industry. This is precisely the challenge that the 2026 IID aims to address collectively.

The 2026 edition will be articulated around four high-level thematic panels, exploring the concrete levers of this transformation:

- New Markets, New Mobility: opportunities beyond traditional markets
- Driving Sustainability: innovations shaping the sustainable future of the automotive industry
- Skills & Talents: aligning tomorrow's skills with the new challenges of the sector
International and National Speakers, Networking Moments
International and national speakers, as well as networking moments, will make up a day designed to forge alliances, fuel decision-making, and co-construct an operational vision between industrialists, academic institutions, investors, and public authorities.

- AHK Tunisia: The Tunisian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK Tunisia) is part of the global network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHK), present in 93 countries with 150 locations. Founded in 1979, AHK Tunisia has around 1,000 member companies, which it supports in their commercial activities and accompanies as a key platform for bilateral economic exchange. In partnership with:
- TAA: The Tunisian Automotive Association (TAA) is the professional organization that represents and develops the automotive components industry in Tunisia. Created in 2016 by the main players in the sector, it brings together industrialists, equipment suppliers, and automotive suppliers around a strategic objective: to strengthen Tunisia's competitiveness as an international automotive industrial platform.
- GIZ Tunisia: This edition is supported by Invest for Jobs – Special Initiative "Decent Work for a Just Transition" through the project "Partnerships for Employment and Support for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Tunisia II" mandated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ Tunisia under the supervision of the Ministry of Industry, Mines, and Energy.
