New Technological Center for Industrial Digital Transformation Inaugurated in Sakiet Ezzit
A new technological center dedicated to industrial digital transformation has been inaugurated in Sakiet Ezzit, in the governorate of Sfax. Located within the Sectoral Training Center for Electronics, this laboratory is part of a modernization dynamic of vocational training in Tunisia, with a clear focus on future skills.
Objectives and Features
This project aims to enhance the employability of young people and women by aligning training programs with the real needs of the market. It includes several components:
- An initial and continuous training program
- A digital fabrication laboratory (Fab Lab)
- An incubator for young entrepreneurs' projects
- Support services for industrial enterprises
International Cooperation and Support
Supported by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), with the backing of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation, this project exemplifies a successful triangular cooperation between Tunisia, Germany, and the UN. It fully integrates into the country's industrial and innovation strategy 2035 and the development plan 2026-2030, positioning Tunisia as a regional player in advanced industrial training.
