Kairouan Commune Inaugurates New Training Space

The commune of Kairouan has inaugurated its new training space, a modern facility dedicated to learning for municipal officials, civil society, and citizens. The space can accommodate up to 20 participants and is equipped for e-learning.

This initiative aims to strengthen the economic and social autonomy of women in Kairouan. So far, 17 women have received entrepreneurship training, and 10 entrepreneurs have already presented their projects at an international fair.

The training space was designed and renovated with the support of German cooperation, as part of the "Municipal Development Initiative" (IDM) and "Strengthening Local Governance and Modernizing Local Services" (REMO) projects, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and implemented jointly by the German Corporation for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Tunisian Ministry of the Interior.
