CMA CGM Updates Freight Rates from Indian Subcontinent to Europe and Mediterranean
French shipping company CMA CGM, which has a strong presence in Tunisia, has announced an update to its freight rates from the Indian subcontinent to Northern Europe and the Mediterranean. The new prices will be effective from March 21, 2025, until further notice.
Freight Rates from Indian Subcontinent to Northern Europe
Containers bound for Northern Europe from India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka will be priced at:
- $3,000 for a 20-foot container
- $3,200 for a 40-foot container
Freight Rates from Indian Subcontinent to Western Mediterranean
Containers departing from India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka to Western Mediterranean ports (including Tunisia) will be priced at:
- $2,800 for a 20-foot container
- $3,000 for a 40-foot container
Freight Rates from Indian Subcontinent to Eastern Mediterranean
Freight rates from India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka to Eastern Mediterranean ports have also been updated to:
- $3,200 for a 20-foot container
- $3,400 for a 40-foot container
Direct Freight Rates from Gulf to Middle East, Europe, Mediterranean, and North Africa
CMA CGM has also decided to update its direct freight rates from the Gulf to the Middle East, Europe, Mediterranean, and North Africa, effective from March 21, 2025.
Freight Rates from Gulf to Middle East
Containers from the Gulf to the Middle East will be priced at:
- $3,000 for a 20-foot container
- $3,100 for a 40-foot container
Freight Rates from Gulf to Western Mediterranean
Containers from the Gulf to Western Mediterranean ports will be priced at:
- $3,100 for a 20-foot container
- $3,200 for a 40-foot container
Freight Rates from Gulf to Eastern Mediterranean
Freight rates from the Gulf to Eastern Mediterranean ports will be:
- $3,200 for a 20-foot container
- $3,400 for a 40-foot container
Freight Rates from Gulf to North Africa
Containers from the Gulf to North African ports will be priced at:
- $3,600 for a 20-foot container
- $3,700 for a 40-foot container
Tunisian Imports from India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka
In 2024, Tunisian imports from India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka totaled 2,031.9 MTND, accounting for 2.5% of the country's total foreign purchases.
