Ibtihel Ben Hadj M'barek Honored at the 10th Edition of the Tunisian Women Entrepreneurs Awards (FET)
On February 24, Ibtihel Ben Hadj M'barek was honored in the industrial excellence category at the 10th edition of the Tunisian Women Entrepreneurs Awards (FET), a prestigious event organized by Managers magazine in partnership with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom and the European Union delegation.
A former teacher and researcher, Ibtihel Ben Hadj M'barek began her career in medical research, pioneering work on rare kidney diseases. However, in 2019, she decided to venture into the cosmetics industry. With Herbalya, she valorizes Tunisia's natural resources while adhering to rigorous scientific standards. Her certified organic products are developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Pharmacy in Monastir, ensuring their clinical efficacy.
Today, Herbalya is a major player in the sector, with a range of 200 cosmetic products and a 1,200 m² production unit that manufactures over 1,000 units per day. The company is now projecting itself towards exportation to showcase its products beyond Tunisia's borders.
Ibtihel Ben Hadj M'barek is also a model of continuous innovation. Currently, she is working on an unprecedented project: a nourishing paste for bees, aiming to support Tunisian farmers affected by the cochineal insect.
