Hyundai Tunisia Obtains Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Status
As part of its continuous improvement strategy and commitment to excellence in customer service, Hyundai Gros Tunisie, a subsidiary of Hyundai Tunisia and official importer of genuine Hyundai spare parts, is proud to announce that it has obtained the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) status, awarded by the Tunisian Customs General Directorate.
The official presentation of the AEO label took place on July 17, 2025, at the Tunisian Customs General Directorate headquarters, in the presence of prominent figures: Michket Slama Khaldi, Minister of Finance; Mohamed Hedi Safer, Director General of Tunisian Customs; Samir Majoul, President of the Tunisian Union of Industry, Trade, and Handicrafts (UTICA); and Tarak Cherif, Honorary President, representing the Confederation of Tunisian Citizen Enterprises (CONECT).
This prestigious certification is exclusively reserved for companies that demonstrate exemplary mastery of international customs standards, total transparency in their commercial transactions, and proven reliability in their operations. The AEO status grants Hyundai Gros Tunisie exceptional customs privileges, including simplified procedures, reduced controls, and priority treatment, creating a decisive competitive advantage in a sector where logistical responsiveness determines customer satisfaction.
This certification will generate major operational transformations that directly impact the customer experience across the entire Hyundai network in Tunisia. Strategic sourcing of genuine spare parts will now benefit from consolidated stocks, while accelerated delivery cycles result from the new privileged customs procedures. After-sales service performance is multiplied with immediate response capabilities, and the customer journey becomes fully secure and traceable throughout the value chain.
"This AEO distinction represents more than just a certification: it testifies to the trust of the Tunisian Customs in the Hyundai Tunisia group, with respect for the procedures in force, and confirms our determination to push the boundaries of the automotive sector in Tunisia. Thanks to this recognition, we are structurally transforming our logistics approach to guarantee each Hyundai customer an irreproachable level of service, from initial purchase to long-term vehicle maintenance," declares Mehdi Mahjoub, General Manager of Alpha Hyundai Motor.
This new milestone is part of Hyundai Tunisia's ambitious expansion strategy, which continuously deploys massive investments in technological innovation and operational excellence to consolidate its position as a reference in the Tunisian automotive market, anticipating and exceeding the evolving expectations of its customers in terms of quality and personalized support.
