The European International Olive Oil Competition (EIOOC) took place in Geneva from April 14 to 16, 2026, and Tunisia made a remarkable impression. Out of over 200 participating brands, 70 were Tunisian, accounting for a third of the total participants. Several major olive oil-producing countries, including Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Morocco, France, and the United States, also took part in the competition.

In a statement, the Embassy of Tunisia in Bern congratulated the award-winning producers. The results were impressive, with Tunisian olive oils receiving:

  • 49 gold medals and 7 silver medals in the quality category
  • 12 distinctions in the "health" category, highlighting their nutritional qualities

The tasting sessions were held at the Château de Bossey and were conducted by an international jury. The award ceremony took place on April 16 in Geneva.

This outstanding performance showcases the excellence of Tunisian olive oils and reinforces their position in the global market.
