Huda Kattan Regains Full Ownership of Huda Beauty
Huda Kattan announced on Tuesday, June 3, that she has regained full ownership of Huda Beauty, the brand she founded in 2013, ending an 8-year partnership with American private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners. It's worth recalling that in 2017, the firm acquired a minority stake. Since early 2025, Kattan has repurchased this share, making the brand totally independent.
"Regaining full ownership of Huda Beauty is a very important moment for me," she stated in a press release. "It means that even if many of us have dreams that are told to be too big or impossible to achieve alone, in reality, you have all the power you need to change the world!"
Led today by Huda Kattan alongside her husband Christopher Goncalo and sister Alya Kattan, the brand is among the most influential beauty companies. It is recognized for flagship products such as Easy Bake powder, Easy Primer base, and the Easy Blur filter, widely praised by specialized media outlets like Allure, Elle, and Cosmopolitan.
Last week, Huda Beauty was designated as the most popular beauty brand in the world by the Cosmetify Beauty Index for the first quarter of 2025, ahead of Dior, Fenty Beauty, Rhode, and Rare Beauty. This ranking is based on criteria such as online search volume, social media engagement, and global brand visibility. Huda Beauty had already secured this top spot in 2019 and 2020.
The company, valued at over $1 billion by Forbes since 2018, is now part of the exclusive circle of global brands owned 100% by their founders.
