Chicken Meat Prices
In October 2024, the average production price of live chicken meat recorded an annual increase of 18.8%, reaching 6883.1 millimes per kilogram, according to the National Observatory of Agriculture (ONAGRI).
Compared to September 2024, the price slightly decreased by 1.4%. Monthly fluctuations ranged from 6480 millimes/kg to 7418 millimes/kg, marking a downward trend with a 6% variation between the beginning and end of the month.
By region, the average price in the center (6916.1 mill/kg) exceeded that of the north by 0.7% and that of the south by 0.1%.
The production cost of chicken meat decreased by 4.5% over the year, standing at 4205 millimes/kg, with no change compared to September 2024.
Egg Prices
A 5.8% increase was recorded in October 2024, while the average annual price dropped by 14.4%, from 333.2 to 285.3 millimes per unit.
Compared to September, the average price increased by 4.2%. At the regional level, the price in the north (287.4 mill/unit) was higher by 1.2% than in the south and by 0.7% than in the center.
The production cost of eggs decreased by 10.9% over the year, reaching 230.3 millimes/unit, remaining stable compared to September 2024.
