Tunisian Ambassador to the US, Hanene Tajouri Bessassi, Named Ambassador of the Year 2024
The Tunisian Ambassador to the United States, Hanene Tajouri Bessassi, has been designated as Ambassador of the Year 2024. This prestigious award was bestowed upon her by the National U.S.-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC).
Prior to her appointment to the United States in October 2021, Tajouri held several high-level diplomatic positions. She served as the Tunisian Ambassador to Germany from 2020 to 2021.
Additionally, she held various responsibilities within the Tunisian Embassy in Washington, D.C., including Deputy Chief of Mission and Congressional Liaison from 2013 to 2021.
In Tunisia, she led the partnership between Tunisia and the European Union as Director and held positions in the direction of bilateral relations with Germany and the European Union.
