Hack4Justice: Special AI Edition to Take Place in Tunis on May 31st and June 1st, 2025
As part of its commitment to people-centered justice, the Hague Institute for Innovation of Law (HiiL), in partnership with the National Registry of Enterprises (RNE), the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC), is organizing the fifth edition of the Hack4Justice hackathon: Special AI Edition in Tunis on May 31st and June 1st, 2025, at The Dot.
Event Objective This event aims to mobilize Tunisian talents around the creation of innovative digital solutions to improve legal and administrative services for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), particularly around the challenges of access to legal information and compliance with registration procedures.
Background and Objective Tunisia is experiencing a growing demand for digital solutions to improve access to information, speed up processes, and increase the confidence of economic actors, particularly SMEs. Hack4Justice addresses this need by creating a space where startups, developers, researchers, public institutions, and students can collaborate, prototype, and test concrete solutions. The overall objective is to stimulate technological innovation to improve access to information and simplify administrative procedures for SMEs in Tunisia. To this end, it is planned to develop prototypes of AI-based tools for the benefit of the National Registry of Enterprises (RNE), including an innovative solution combining AI and legal expertise to reduce the rate of rejection of company name reservation requests (denomination, social reason, or commercial name). This approach aims to facilitate procedures for entrepreneurs and ensure better access to reliable and structured information.
