Google Delays Elimination of Third-Party Cookies Again
Google has once again postponed the elimination of third-party cookies, initially scheduled for 2022, then 2024. These third-party cookies, deposited by a third-party domain on the visited site, track the visitor across multiple sites and provide key elements for targeted online advertising. Google has announced that these cookies will not be removed from its Chrome browser until 2025. This delay is due to the requirements of the UK's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), which fears the repercussions of this decision on the digital marketing sector as well as on Google's competitors in the field.
