Google Enhances Ad Tools in Nigeria with New AI-Powered Features
Google is strengthening its advertising capabilities in Nigeria by introducing new features powered by artificial intelligence. Integrated into AI Max for Search, these tools are designed to help businesses better understand customer journeys and create ads using natural language instructions.
Key New Features
Unified Ad Journey Reporting
The first tool consolidates multiple stages of the advertising journey into a single report. It includes:
- The search query performed by the user
- The ad displayed
- The destination page visited after the click
This integration allows businesses to more effectively identify which searches drive relevant traffic and adjust their campaigns accordingly.
AI Brief
Google is also introducing AI Brief, a feature that enables advertisers to provide instructions to the AI in plain language. Advertisers can:
- Specify what they want to highlight or avoid in their ads
- Generate content examples before publication
Timing and Rollout
These new features arrive just in time for Black Friday on November 27 and the year-end shopping season—two critical periods for businesses investing in online advertising.
Google plans a gradual rollout of these tools, with Nigeria among the key markets targeted during 2026.
Global Performance Metrics
According to Google, approximately 500,000 advertisers worldwide are currently using AI Max. The company reports that businesses utilizing the tool see an average of 27% more conversions at a comparable cost.
Note: This performance metric reflects global data across all markets and does not represent specific performance measurements for Nigeria.
