Improving Gender Equality in the Workplace: GIZ Launches "Gender Diversity Management" Program
In the context of the WoMENA project, which aims to promote gender equality in politics and economy in several MENA region countries, including Tunisia, GIZ is launching the "Gender Diversity Management" program. This program aims to support companies in implementing their action plans to achieve professional equality and diversity with an inclusive approach.
Program Overview
The "Gender Diversity Management" program is designed for companies operating in the Greater Tunis region, which are sensitive to gender diversity in the professional environment and motivated to develop a specific action plan tailored to their needs.
The program consists of three phases:
Phase 1: Preparation and Selection of 10 Companies
- Preparation of the call for applications and selection of 10 companies (already completed with success, with 10 companies selected between January and April 2024)
Phase 2: Preparation of Meetings and Operational Planning Training
- Preparation of meetings and launch of operational planning training
Phase 3: Accompanying Partners in Implementing Their Action Plans
- Accompanying partners in implementing their action plans to achieve professional equality and diversity with an inclusive approach

The 10 selected companies, which are equally divided between the service and finance sector and the industrial sector, are:

Upcoming Event
During the meeting, Bechir Lassoued, WoMENA project consultant, highlighted that in June 2024, an action-training session will be organized to introduce gender diversity management, although the concept is already known. There will also be a presentation of the gender diversity management process in companies, tested and developed within the ECONOWIN project.
