Europe Lags Behind in AI Adoption, According to Gallup Report
Europe is trailing behind the rest of the world in adopting Artificial Intelligence (AI), according to the "Culture of AI Benchmark Report" by Gallup Organization.
One of the reasons is that only 13% of the European workforce is engaged, which is the lowest percentage among all regions worldwide and significantly below the global average of 23%. A disengaged workforce is less likely to feel ready to use new technologies.
The report also presents the perspectives of leaders from 40 large European companies on the adoption of AI technologies within their organizations and the preparation of their teams to use AI effectively.
However, 6 out of 10 leaders believe that their companies are not ready to adopt AI optimally, and only 1 in 10 considers that their organizations are fully prepared to use it effectively.
Another persistent obstacle is that 7 out of 10 leaders report that their managers do not actively support the use of generative AI by their teams, thereby limiting the adoption and mastery of this technology within their companies.
Despite these challenges, 54% of the leaders surveyed indicate that their companies have communicated a clear plan to adopt generative AI.
