Professional Training Center Project Confirmed in Mareth, Tunisia
The project to create a specialized professional training center in logistics and heavy equipment maintenance in Zerkine, Mareth (Gabès governorate), has been confirmed by the Minister of Employment and Professional Training during today's plenary session. Included in the 2026 budget, this center is part of a broader vision to strengthen the integration of young people into the labor market through better alignment between training and economic needs.
Key Features of the Project
According to the minister, the creation of professional training centers is based on a structured approach, founded on:
- Feasibility studies
- Precise identification of skill needs
- National and regional planning
In this context, the future Mareth center is expected to offer 11 specialties, linked to the requirements of the job market, particularly in the logistics and maintenance sectors.
Project Progress
The minister also indicated that the necessary studies have been finalized, and coordination with the various parties involved has enabled the mobilization of the required land for the launch of the project. This development is expected to contribute to the economic growth of the region and provide young people with the skills needed to access the job market.
