FORVIA Group Plans to Strengthen Activities in Tunisia

The international FORVIA group is considering reinforcing its activities in Tunisia, following a meeting with the Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh, focused on investment prospects and the development of its two subsidiaries in the country.

Meeting Details

The meeting took place in the presence of company officials from France and Tunisia, including Olivier Lefebvre, General Director of Operations for the group, as well as representatives from the Agency for the Promotion of Foreign Investment and structures in charge of the business climate. This meeting is part of the follow-up on foreign investments in Tunisia and the strengthening of cooperation with major international players in the automotive sector.

FORVIA's Presence in Tunisia

The FORVIA group has two industrial and technological units in Tunisia. The first is specialized in the manufacture of automotive seat covers and employs approximately 800 people. The second is dedicated to information systems, digitalization, and innovation in automotive-related fields, with nearly 250 engineers and technicians.

Discussion and Future Plans

During the meeting, the Minister praised the performance of the two subsidiaries since their establishment, highlighting Tunisia's advantages for foreign investors, including the availability of a qualified workforce, social stability, strategic geographical position, and the country's experience in the automotive components industry. He also reaffirmed the public structures' willingness to support investors in facilitating their projects and promoting their development. Olivier Lefebvre presented the global strategy of the FORVIA group, focused on the technological transformation of the automotive sector, particularly digitalization and innovation. He expressed the group's satisfaction with the results of its activities in Tunisia, believing that they pave the way for a future strengthening of its presence in the country.
