"Your Network is Your Net Worth"
The famous quote by Porter Gale resonated deeply during the 27th edition of the Maghreb Economist Forum, held on May 21, 2026. Beyond the conferences, panels, and high-level interventions, the event highlighted another reality of the business world: opportunities are born from good encounters.
For the second time, the forum integrated targeted B2B sessions, designed around the mutual needs of participants. This initiative, supported by Wafa Cash, the official partner of these professional meetings, has become one of the highlights of the event.
A Simple yet Effective Concept
The concept is based on a simple logic: transforming an economic forum into a genuine business creation platform. The numbers testify to this growing success. In just half a day, over 130 pre-planned meetings were organized between companies, startups, decision-makers, and project leaders. A total of 55 participants took part in these dedicated sessions. However, the value of the system lay not only in the scheduled meetings. The B2B encounters took place in close proximity to the panels and exchange spaces where leaders, experts, and high-level officials intervened. This configuration allowed participants to naturally extend discussions and multiply contact opportunities.
A Fluid Networking Experience
"You come out of a B2B meeting and you meet CEOs, experts, or decision-makers that you don't meet every day," summarizes Youssef Bouzarita, CEO of Wayout. It is precisely this fluidity between structured networking and spontaneous exchanges that marked this edition.
Participants' Feedback
The feedback from participants translates into a widely shared enthusiasm. Several estimate that they accomplished, in one day, the equivalent of several weeks - or even two months - of commercial prospecting. Mejda Khaled affirms that these meetings allowed her not only to exchange with important players in the ecosystem but also to lay the foundations for future collaborations. Similar satisfaction was expressed by Molka Mabrouk, who praised the quality of the guests and the overall organization of the event. Latifa Kaouech, on the other hand, highlights that the benefits of the exchanges went beyond the formal meetings. All participants affirm that they identified particularly relevant profiles and are already considering concrete collaborations following the discussions initiated during the forum.
A New Approach to Economic Events
In the end, this 27th edition of the Maghreb Economist Forum has shown that an economic event is no longer measured solely by the quality of its conferences, but also by its ability to create useful connections and tangible opportunities. With this structured, targeted, and results-oriented B2B format, the forum seems to be embracing a more operational logic: that of a space where ideas circulate, but above all, where collaborations begin.
