IMF Opens Regional Office in Riyadh to Strengthen Partnerships in the Middle East and Beyond
To reinforce partnerships with governments and institutions in the Middle East and beyond, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has inaugurated its regional office in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, with Senegalese national Abdoul Aziz Wane appointed as its first director.
According to the IMF's statement, this new office "will enhance capacities, regional surveillance, and outreach activities to promote stability, growth, and regional integration. It will strengthen the IMF's engagement with regional institutions, governments, and other stakeholders."
