Tunisia's Economic Growth Expected to Reach 1.4% in 2025 and 2026

According to the "Global Economic Prospects, April 2025" report published by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday, Tunisia's economic growth is expected to reach 1.4% in both 2025 and 2026, on the sidelines of the 2025 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the IMF.

The report, titled "Global Economic Prospects, April 2025: A Critical Moment in a Context of Public Policy Reorientations," predicts that Tunisia's inflation rate will decrease from 7% in 2024 to 6.1% in 2025, before increasing to 6.5% in 2026. However, the report does not mention the country's unemployment rate.

It is worth noting that Tunisia's economy recorded a growth rate of 1.4% in 2024, according to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS).

Agricultural activities remain the main driver of growth, with the sector's value-added increasing by 12.1% year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2024, according to the INS.
