Egyptian Startup Fincart Raises $2.8 Million to Expand E-commerce Operations Platform
The Egyptian startup Fincart has secured $2.8 million in a seed funding round to develop its e-commerce operations management platform and prepare for expansion in the Middle East and Africa. The investment was led by Launch Africa and Antler MENA, with participation from several regional funds, including Yango Ventures, Five35 Ventures, Bluestream Capital, Hi2 Global, and Kalahari Venture Labs.
Addressing E-commerce Operational Challenges
Founded in Egypt, Fincart tackles a central problem for online sellers: the complexity of post-purchase operations. Delivery, order tracking, returns, cash-on-delivery payments, and coordination with carriers remain major pain points for brands looking to grow quickly in African markets.
Streamlining E-commerce Operations
Fincart develops a platform that enables e-commerce businesses to manage these operations from a single interface. Its tool connects brands with delivery services, automates order tracking, and provides data to improve logistical performance.
Infrastructure for E-commerce Businesses
Unlike marketplaces that seek to attract consumers directly, Fincart positions itself as an infrastructure for businesses that already sell online. Its goal is to reduce losses related to failed deliveries, improve the customer experience, and enable brands to handle more orders without multiplying tools. The startup claims a network of over 40 delivery partners and supports businesses operating in several sectors.
Expansion Plans
With this new funding, Fincart plans to strengthen its artificial intelligence-based solutions, develop its teams, and accelerate its deployment in new markets. By addressing the operational challenges faced by e-commerce businesses, Fincart aims to become a leading player in the Middle East and African e-commerce ecosystem.
