French Aerospace Company Figeac Aero to Expand Production Unit in Tunisia, Creating Over 120 New Jobs

The French company Figeac Aero, specialized in the manufacture of aeronautical components, plans to expand its production unit in the Mghira 5 industrial zone in Tunisia, creating more than 120 new jobs.

This project was at the heart of discussions between Samir Abdelhafidh, Minister of Economy and Planning, and Jean-Claude Maillard, CEO of Figeac Aero, during their meeting on September 5, 2024, in Tunis.

Jean-Claude Maillard expressed his satisfaction with the support received by his company in Tunisia, highlighting the importance of continuing to benefit from this support to ensure the success of future projects. He also presented a review of the group's activities over the past few years.

Minister Abdelhafidh reaffirmed the Tunisian government's commitment to supporting investments in high-added-value sectors, particularly in the aeronautical components sector, which is experiencing significant growth in the country. He assured that local and national authorities will do everything possible to facilitate the rapid realization of the expansion of Figeac Aero's site.

Figeac Aero, a major player in its field, has 14 production units in several countries and supplies components to the largest companies in the aeronautical industry. In Tunisia, its production unit, located in Mghira in the governorate of Ben Arous, already employs over 775 people.
