First Edition of Back to School Festival

The first edition of the Back to School Festival is currently being held at the El Kahina Space from September 10 to 13, 2025. Organized by Enda Inter-Arabe, Enda Tamweel, and Enda Tao, the event offers workshops for children, awareness sessions for parents, and innovative financing solutions. This festival is the result of a long-standing collaboration with the Ministry of Education, structured around three pillars: material, academic, and social.

A Festival to Support Families and Promote Education

More than just a market, this festival aims to support families and promote education, in line with the state's efforts. On site, children can participate in a variety of fun and educational activities, such as a music club, DIY and painting workshops, and entertainment provided by clowns and magicians. Parents are not left out, with a dedicated awareness program focused on positive education, aiming to improve family relationships and the learning environment.

Financing Solutions for Back to School

At the heart of the festival's concerns is the cost of back to school. To facilitate this, Enda Tamweel will present its microcredit product "Taalim", specifically designed to finance studies and the purchase of school supplies. A dedicated stand will inform the public about the procedures to follow to benefit from it. In parallel, Enda Tao will offer the possibility of buying school supplies via its mobile application, also present at the festival. The goal is twofold: to allow families to benefit from significant discounts thanks to wallet payment and to massively promote dematerialized payment practices.

A Conference to Present the Festival's Ambitions

During a press conference at the Enda headquarters, Imen Hamza, program director at Enda Inter-Arabe, presented the ambitions of this event. "This festival is part of the support for the state's efforts, a support that manifests itself through a range of activities. Each institution contributes according to its field of action," she declared, citing the social expertise of Enda Inter-Arabe, the financing by Enda Tamweel, and the technological solution of Enda Tao.

A Collaboration with the Ministry of Education

This collaboration, formalized with the Ministry of Education since 2019, pursues several objectives, including reducing school dropout rates, improving pedagogical comfort, and making school attractive. The group's interventions are structured around three key dimensions. The material dimension, carried by Enda Tamweel, consists of a vast program to renovate school infrastructure. Since 2022, more than 110 schools have been renovated for an investment exceeding 10 million dinars. The academic dimension is led by Enda Inter-Arabe, in collaboration with the ministry. It includes support for Aflatoun clubs for social and financial education of children, animation of school life, and implementation of financial education. The ambition, according to Ms. Hamza, is to "create a generation that takes initiative, and undertakes in a conscious and thoughtful manner". Finally, the social dimension aims to create a collective dynamic around the school. Enda Inter-Arabe works to ensure that education is no longer seen as the exclusive business of the school, but as a shared responsibility with the entire civil society, the private sector, and NGOs.

Testimonials from Participants

The festival is also an opportunity for participants to share their experiences. Tarek Riahi, a school supplier, praised his participation in the event, especially since it is the first edition. He affirmed the availability of the offer and praised the convivial atmosphere that reigns. Another testimony, just as important as it is moving, is that of Najet. Mother of a family and carrier of a project to transform and valorize agricultural products, Najet claims to have become active and interested in the activities of Enda Inter-Arabe since June 2025, thanks to her participation in the "I Change" program. According to her, the advice and guidance received had a positive impact on her family life, for her and her children. "We found a refuge at Enda," she confided, before adding that her children never fail to get involved in Enda Inter-Arabe's clubs.

Conclusion

The first edition of the Back to School Festival is a showcase for a deeper commitment to supporting families and promoting education. Through its various activities and financing solutions, the festival aims to make school more attractive and accessible to all. With its collaboration with the Ministry of Education and its focus on material, academic, and social dimensions, Enda Inter-Arabe and its partners are working to create a generation that is conscious, thoughtful, and proactive.
