Official Press Conference of Fabtech Africa Expo 2024 Held Today

Today, the official press conference of Fabtech Africa Expo 2024 took place. This premier event, in partnership with Utica, Conect, APII, Cetime, Cepex, and Fipa, will bring together key players in the manufacturing and technological industries, from innovators to professionals, to discuss trends, challenges, and promising opportunities in the African market.

Aymen Ben Slimane, Director of Fabtech Africa Expo, highlighted that the main objective of the exhibition is to position Tunisia as an African leader in the field of technology, particularly industrial technology. This event takes place in a global context marked by an energy crisis, where high energy costs weigh on industrial companies, and climate change strongly influences consumption.

He emphasized that, thanks to the presence of consultants, the exhibition will offer a networking opportunity between industrial companies and IT service providers.

The meeting, which will bring together over 130 exhibitors, includes industrial and technological companies, as well as startups. 16 African countries will be present, including Algeria, Libya, Senegal, Egypt, and Ethiopia. Among the key sectors covered by Fabtech Africa Expo 2024 are advanced manufacturing, electronics, aerospace, automotive, 3D printing, industrial cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and others.

During the exhibition, around 600 B2B and B2G exhibitors will be present, with the possibility of using the Business Room platform to facilitate their exchanges.

As explained by its CEO, Amine Ben Hmida, this platform allows online registration and payment, as well as remote participation for those who cannot be present on-site.

It is important to note that this event is traditionally held in the United States, but this is the first time it is being organized in Tunisia and Africa in general. The main difference lies in the fact that in the United States, the exhibition is dedicated to the heavy construction sector, whereas in Tunisia, it focuses on Industry 4.0 and technological innovation in the industrial sector.
