Significant Change in Al Jazira Transport and Tourism Company's Capital Structure
The capital of Al Jazira Transport and Tourism Company has undergone a significant change in its structure. Ezzeddine El Kadhi has acquired 177,442 shares, representing 12.674% of the company's shares and voting rights. He now holds 77.08% directly, in addition to 0.83% held jointly with Detlev Albrecht.
Business Activities
Al Jazira develops its activities in Djerba around three main areas:
- Direct operation, with the Al Jazira Beach hotel (277 rooms) during the summer season and a supermarket, both located in the tourist area
- Rental of real estate, through a shopping center in Houmt-Souk consisting of offices and commercial premises, as well as various other premises for rent
Financial Performance in 2024
In 2024, operating revenues increased by 21.4% year-over-year to reach 20.524 million Tunisian dinars (Mtnd), driven almost exclusively by service and commerce activities (20.140 Mtnd), while rental income contributed only 0.383 Mtnd. Operating expenses, consistent with revenue growth, increased by 17.9% to 18.643 Mtnd, resulting in an operating profit increase of 8.1% to 1.880 Mtnd. However, net profit declined by 3.9% to 2.978 Mtnd, due to a significant increase in corporate tax (+51.9% to 0.872 Mtnd) and a decline in other ordinary gains (-27.0% to 0.996 Mtnd).
Dividend Distribution
The Ordinary General Assembly decided to distribute a dividend of 0.400 Tunisian dinars (Tnd) per share, totaling 0.560 Mtnd.
