Tunisia's Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 Attracts Over 500,000 Visitors
The Center for Export Promotion (CEPEX) announced on Monday that the Tunisian pavilion, "Résonance," at the Expo Osaka 2025 in Japan has welcomed over 500,000 visitors since its opening on April 13, 2025. Located on a 300m² area on the artificial island of Yumeshima, this pavilion has become a true reflection of Tunisia's millennial richness, contemporary vitality, and promising perspectives.
A Symbolic Milestone
This symbolic stage, marked by the welcome of the 500,000th visitor in the honor room, who received traditional handicraft gifts and a jasmine perfume diffuser, a strong emblem of Tunisian identity, testifies to the country's authenticity and cultural openness. Despite high humidity reaching 88% in August, visitor queues, including the local Tunisian community and many nationalities, formed to experience an immersive experience combining heritage, modernity, and innovation, according to a CEPEX statement.
An Immersive Experience
The pavilion has managed to touch all senses: decoration, sounds, scents, and textures, offering a captivating and living journey.
Parallel Events
In parallel with the public visit, several events have punctuated the Tunisian presence in Osaka:
- The "ONSEN Day" (June 25), combining Japanese hot spring traditions and Tunisian experiences.
- The "Economic Day" (August 18), highlighting investment and green innovation opportunities.
- The "National Day" (August 13), a strong symbol of Tunisian culture and modernity.
Upcoming Events
- On September 25, the "One Village, One Product" (OVOP) meeting will showcase rural Tunisian products, their local roots, and sustainable development.
- From September 29 to October 1, a "Tourism and Traditional Heritage Promotion Week" will present the richness of tourist and cultural sites as well as traditional handicraft workshops.
- October 13 will mark the official closing ceremony of the Expo.
A Testament to Tunisia's Ambition
This participation translates Tunisia's ambition to strengthen its international influence through an original narrative combining identity, innovation, and openness. The 500,000 visitors are living witnesses to Tunisia's ability to be a key partner in building the future.
