Djerba Guide: Your New Assistant to Explore the Island of Djerba

Djerba Guide is your new assistant to explore the island of Djerba. This 100% Tunisian, free, and offline application allows you to discover the island, locate yourself, and navigate through its tourist, gastronomic, and cultural treasures.

According to Hamda Abdellaoui, Executive Director of DMO Djerba, "The goal is to offer a tourist experience that integrates all local products, traditional cuisine, and activities." He adds, "It is crucial that the destination is not limited to summer. Tourism must be active all year round." This perspective allows you to discover Tunisia from different angles, in all seasons, and explore the many available activities.

Must-Visit Sites

  • Houmt-Souk
  • Djerbahood
  • Guellala
  • Midoun
  • Ajim
  • La Ghriba
  • Fort Ghazi Mustapha

You can also discover local artisans, such as potters, weavers, and mat makers, as well as museums, markets, walks, and charming accommodations. The application provides detailed information on sites and museums, traditional know-how, cafes and restaurants, charming accommodations, traditional hammams, and outdoor activities.

Intuitive Interface

Djerba Guide offers an intuitive interface with clear and precise content, several maps of the island, and all the practical information necessary to explore the island of the lotophages. A total immersion in the daily life of Djerba's inhabitants!

"The application is updated with each new information, for example, the opening of a restaurant. There is also a section dedicated to reviews, allowing interaction with travelers... Learning by doing," explains Hamda Abdellaoui.

Complementary Tourist Information Points

In addition to this digital guide, two tourist information points have been inaugurated in Djerba. The rehabilitation of these information points, at a total cost of 190,000 dinars, is part of the "Destination South-East Tunisia" (DES-SE) project. This project is funded by the Swiss Secretariat for Economy (SECO) and implemented by the Swisscontact Foundation in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Tunisian National Tourist Office.

This initiative proposes a new vision of sustainable tourism in Tunisia, going beyond the simple sun and beach, to make Tunisia a top tourist destination, hosting various events throughout the year.
