Pan-African Fintech Yellow Card Secures $33 Million in Series C Funding to Fuel Global Expansion and Strategic Initiatives

Yellow Card, a pan-African fintech, has raised $33 million in a Series C funding round to support its global expansion and key strategic initiatives, bringing its total equity funding to $85 million.

Since its launch in Nigeria in 2019, Yellow Card has become the largest and first regulated Stablecoin conversion platform in Africa, operating in 20 African countries and facilitating over $3 billion in transactions across the continent.

The funds will be used to fuel growth and expansion, with a particular focus on enhancing Yellow Card's API products and widgets. These tools enable international companies, such as Coinbase and Block, to access African markets, and allow African businesses to make international payments and manage their treasury via stablecoins.

The company highlighted that this funding round underscores Yellow Card's resilience and the importance of digital assets for businesses across Africa.

According to Blockchain Capital, the future of payments will be driven by open networks and fast, affordable infrastructure, with Yellow Card at the forefront of stablecoin adoption in Africa.
