Good News for Dubai Government Employees
Early Salary Payment for March
Good news for Dubai government employees. They will receive their March salary on March 17, even before the end of the month. The Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, has ordered the Department of Finance to pay salaries before Eid al-Fitr. The goal is simple: to allow employees and their families to celebrate Eid without financial worries.
Eid al-Fitr Expected Around March 20
The celebration is scheduled to take place from March 20 to 22, according to the Dubai Department of Islamic Affairs. If the lunar crescent is spotted on March 18, it could start as early as March 19, offering up to four days off. The public sector will be on holiday from March 19 to 22, with work resuming on March 23. The private sector, on the other hand, will enjoy three days off, from March 19 to 21.
A Well-Established Tradition
Early payments before major religious holidays have become a tradition in Dubai, boosting the morale of government employees and social cohesion. An expected gesture, but always appreciated.
