Moroccan Startup Enakl Raises $1.4 Million to Develop Intelligent, Safe, and Sustainable Collective Transportation Solutions
The Moroccan startup Enakl has secured $1.4 million in pre-seed funding to develop intelligent, safe, and sustainable collective transportation solutions, aiming to improve daily commutes both nationally and internationally.
Founded in 2023 by Samir Bennani and Charles Pommarede, with Ahmed Omrane joining as associate CTO, Enakl seeks to transform the daily commutes of millions of workers through an accessible shared transportation platform that reduces congestion and carbon emissions.
After a successful pilot phase, Enakl manages over 15,000 monthly bookings in Casablanca, with a 20% monthly growth rate, and plans to expand to other African cities. Maxime Bayen, operational partner at Catalyst Fund, explained that the investment in Enakl is due to its ability to transform urban transportation in Africa with a green and evolving solution.
