Eurostat Group Opens New Tunis Facility to Boost Industrial Presence and Expand into African and Middle Eastern Markets

French industrial group Eurostat Group has selected Tunisia as a strategic hub to strengthen its industrial footprint and prepare for expansion into African and Middle Eastern markets. The specialist in electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection equipment officially inaugurated its new production unit in Tunis on September 14, 2026.

A Comprehensive Production Hub

Spanning 1,500 square meters, the new facility integrates multiple production activities, including:

• Thermoforming
• Mold machining
• Assembly of ESD solutions tailored for the electronics industry

These specialized equipment solutions address a critical need in the electronics sector, where electrostatic discharges can cause significant damage to sensitive components.

Strategic Growth Beyond Production

While the new unit enhances Eurostat Group’s manufacturing capabilities, the strategic implications extend well beyond local production. The group intends to leverage its Tunis-based operations as a springboard to develop commercial activities across the Middle East and Africa.

Eurostat Group estimates that this strategic implantation could ultimately contribute up to 20% of its overall corporate value.

Workforce and Future Expansion

The facility has launched with a team of 28 employees, a workforce size expected to grow as the site reaches full operational capacity.

Part of a Broader French Investment Trend

This expansion aligns with the broader trend of French industrial investment in Tunisia. According to the French Embassy in Tunisia, the country is home to approximately 1,700 companies with French participation, collectively supporting more than 170,000 jobs.
