Egyptian Venture Capital Fund EdVentures Invests in Two Ed-Tech Startups
EdVentures, an Egyptian venture capital fund, has announced an investment of several hundred thousand dollars in two Egyptian ed-tech startups: Schoolz and Ibn Sina Training Academy.
Launched in 2020 by Abdel Monsef Ismail, Ayman Hamza, and Hosni Ahmed, Schoolz is a technological platform that offers reliable, affordable, and secure student transportation solutions. On the other hand, Ibn Sina, founded in 2017, provides specialized medical training programs, including courses in medical translation, coding, and digital marketing.
Thanks to this new financing, EdVentures has expanded its portfolio to 24 startups. As a subsidiary of Nahdet Misr, EdVentures is the leading venture capital fund focused on educational technologies in the MENA region. These investments were made as part of its innovative EdTech Ventures Studio (EDVS) program.
Schoolz and Ibn Sina Training Academy are among the 10 startups selected to participate in the first-ever EDVS bootcamp.
