Ecomondo 2025: Italian Exhibition Group Launches International Roadshow Ahead of November Event
In the run-up to the next edition of Ecomondo, scheduled to take place from November 4 to 7, 2025, at the Rimini Expo Centre, Italian Exhibition Group is promoting three international stages aimed at anticipating the contents, technologies, and collaboration opportunities in key sectors of the ecological transition. The tour will involve Egypt, Serbia, and Poland, strengthening the dialogue between Italian businesses and international markets and consolidating Ecomondo's role as a reference hub for the green, blue, and circular economy in the Mediterranean and Europe. These three meetings will aim to mobilize high-level international operators and buyers from the countries concerned by the roadshow, with a view to their participation in the next edition of Ecomondo.
Three Stages for the International Ecomondo Roadshow
The first stage will take place on July 8 in Cairo, in cooperation with the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Egypt, the Italian Embassy, and the ICE Office. The program will feature key topics such as the water cycle, agricultural bioenergy, waste management, and energy efficiency. Egypt has defined a national climate strategy for 2050 and aims to reach 42% of renewable energy by 2035. The event will offer thematic sessions and B2B meetings between Egyptian stakeholders and Italian companies, in the presence of public and private actors active in the environmental sector. In 2024, the Egyptian delegation counted 40 top buyers from the industry, public services, municipalities, and ESCO, with 401 B2B meetings organized at both Ecomondo and KEY - The Energy Transition Expo.
On September 9, the roadshow will arrive in Belgrade, Serbia, in cooperation with the Serbian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the support of regional counselor MZ Consulting. The event will focus on waste management, solar energy, and water, strategic areas in full growth in the Balkans, where investments in sustainability are motivated by local incentives and EU pre-accession programs.
On September 11, it will be Warsaw's turn, with the Green Grill format realized in collaboration with Confindustria Poland. The initiative will take the form of an informal, low-environmental-impact networking event inspired by Ecomondo and KEY's values. The program will feature biogas, plastic waste treatment, water management, and solar energy. Among the guests, Italian companies and Polish actors will exchange around concrete projects and applied technologies. This participation takes place in a context where Poland is decisively investing in the modernization of environmental infrastructures through European funds and national plans. Confindustria Poland now counts 105 member companies, 30,000 represented employees, and a global turnover of 4.6 billion euros.
Ecomondo 2025: A Preview of the Major Themes
The three international stages offer a preview of the major themes that will be addressed at Ecomondo 2025, organized around an exhibition path and high-tech conferences. Seven large filières will structure the November edition: waste as a resource, the water cycle and blue economy, site and soil restoration, bioenergy and agriculture, earth observation and environmental monitoring, circular and regenerative bioeconomy, and the biennial SAL.VE event, the exhibition of ANFIA members for the ecological vehicle sector.
The vertical districts will also be reconducted, such as Blue Economy, dedicated to the preservation of marine ecosystems, Circular Healthy City for circular and healthy cities, Paper District for sustainable paper design, Textile District for ethical fashion, and Trenchless District focusing on No Dig technologies.
The Innovation District will become the heart of applied research, with an expanded space for Start-ups and Scale-ups, and a specific focus on Green Jobs & Skills. The Lorenzo Cagnoni Prize for Green Innovation will also return, honoring the most advanced technologies in the represented sectors.
Finally, a conference program elaborated by the scientific technical committee will focus on regulatory developments, ecosystem restoration, new forms of bioenergy, and predictive resource management, with a particular emphasis on the Mattei Plan and the role of green technologies in the African context.
