Easy Export Days – Export & Grow: Launching a New Era for Tunisian SMEs and Artisans
The room was packed on Tuesday, September 29, in Tunis for the launch of the “Easy Export Days – Export & Grow” initiative. Organized under the auspices of Samir Obeid, Minister of Commerce and Export Development, in partnership with GIZ (German International Cooperation), this event marks the beginning of a series of informational days dedicated to the Easy Export program.
A National Tour to Support Exporters
Following the Tunis launch, the tour will continue across the country:
- Sousse: September 30
- Sfax: October 1
- Gabès: October 2
- Kef: October 14
These regional meetings bring together key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Commerce and Export Development, GIZ, Tunisian Post, CEPEX (Tunisian Export Promotion Center), the National Craftsmanship Office, and Tunisian Customs.
Who Can Benefit from Easy Export?
The Easy Export program is specifically designed for SMEs, artisans, and startups looking to ship their products to international markets via the postal network. It targets:
- Craftsmanship
- Agricultural and food products
- Startups
Shipments under this program can weigh up to 30 kilograms, making it ideal for small-volume exports.
Key Advantages: Simplicity and Cost Reduction
One of the program’s primary benefits is the 50% subsidy on shipping costs for eligible parcels, in accordance with FOPRODEX (Fund for the Promotion of Exports) conditions. In 2025, an envelope of 5 million Tunisian dinars was allocated to support exports conducted through the postal network.
Streamlined Procedures with Single-Window Services
Easy Export introduces single-window services within the postal network, helping businesses navigate key export formalities, including:
- Technical export control
- Commercial invoice domiciliation
- Customs clearance for shipments
Additionally, a dedicated portal at www.easyexport.com.tn centralizes all information related to the program.
Early Success and Future Goals
Since its launch in October 2025, approximately 65 companies have joined the program, according to data shared during the Tunis event. With the “Easy Export Days,” partners aim to expand the program’s reach to regional areas and directly inform relevant businesses about its benefits and procedures.
Ultimately, the goal is to enable small-scale enterprises to execute their first international transactions within a framework tailored to low-volume shipments, while providing comprehensive support for essential export formalities.
