National Energy Management Agency (ANME) Launches "E-tiquette" Platform
The National Energy Management Agency (ANME) is announcing the creation of the "E-tiquette" platform, which will come into effect on January 1, 2025.
Mandatory Energy Efficiency Labeling for Household Appliances
From 2025, obtaining energy efficiency labels for air conditioners, electric ovens, refrigerators, freezers, dual machines, and automatic washing machines will be mandatory through the E-tiquette platform.
Modernizing and Improving Consumer Information
This change is part of a modernization and improvement effort to provide better information to consumers, particularly through the integration of an enriched QR code on the labels. This QR code will allow for quick access to detailed information on the energy performance of each appliance.
Manufacturers and Suppliers Must Prepare
Manufacturers and suppliers of affected appliances must prepare for this new requirement by creating an account on the platform.
ANME Invites Sector Actors to Register and Update Labels
The ANME invites all sector actors to approach their competent offices to finalize the registration of their data and obtain the necessary information to update their labels. E-tiquette will be an essential tool for ensuring compliance with new standards and facilitating transparency of energy consumption data for appliances.
