The American giant DXC Technology is set to accelerate its growth in Tunisia, confirming the country's attractiveness in the tech industry.
On Monday, February 2, 2026, the Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh, met with the company's leaders to outline the contours of this ambitious expansion.
Why Tunisia?
DXC Technology is not new to Tunisia, with its base at the El Ghazala technology hub. The company already employs 350 engineers and executives, establishing itself as a pillar of digital services and IT consulting in the country. The desire to expand is based on three fundamental pillars:
- The excellence of local expertise, driven by Tunisian engineers whose competence is the primary driver of this satisfaction
- A strategic geographical position, ideal for managing large-scale international projects
- A stimulating business climate that offers a favorable work environment for the deployment of high technology

One of the highlights of the meeting, which was also attended by Jalel Tebib, representing the FIPA and TIA, was the emphasis on training and research. DXC Technology stresses the importance of strengthening partnerships with Tunisian universities, particularly in the fields of computer science and innovation. The goal is clear: to anticipate market needs and provide young talents with sustainable access to cutting-edge careers within a global company.

In response to these ambitions, Samir Abdelhafidh's message is unequivocal: the Tunisian state is fully committed to supporting this project. The minister reaffirmed that the ICT sector remains an absolute priority of public policies, as it is a driver of added value and a significant generator of jobs for higher education graduates. All relevant institutions are already mobilized to facilitate the implementation of the American firm's future development programs.
