The Dot Unveils Dot Landing: A New Accelerator for Tunisian Diaspora Entrepreneurs
The Dot has officially launched Dot Landing, a tailored support program designed for Tunisians living abroad who wish to launch or scale a business in their home country.
This initiative is built on a straightforward observation: Tunisia already boasts one of the most dynamic startup ecosystems in the region, largely fueled by the Startup Act. Yet, its highly skilled and engaged diaspora often remains on the sidelines, lacking concrete bridges to connect with the local entrepreneurial fabric.
Proven Track Record & Program Structure
Dot Landing isn’t starting from scratch. Two pilot cohorts have already successfully supported 35 early-stage ventures:
- The first batch of 27 was backed by the Île-de-France Region, FIPA, and MEET Africa 2.
- The second cohort of 8 was supported by GIZ Tunisia.
The program unfolds over four months, beginning with an initial diagnostic and an immersion phase into Tunisia’s local ecosystem. Coaching is structured around six core modules:
- Business model validation
- Funding & capital strategy
- Legal & regulatory framework
- Marketing & export strategy
- Management & team building
- Ecosystem navigation & partnerships
Each project is paired with a dedicated in-residence coach, plus access to a curated network of experts and a thriving community of entrepreneurs. The journey culminates in a Demo Day, where founders pitch to investors and strategic partners. By 2028, Dot Landing aims to support between 30 and 45 founders across three cohorts.
Eligibility & Application Deadline
The program targets already-operational ventures—those with an MVP, first customers, or early revenue—across all industries, with a strategic focus on:
- ICT & AI
- Green tech & renewable energy
- Healthtech
- Sustainable agriculture
Applications are open until September 30, 2026, via an online submission form.
Impact on Investment in Tunisia
This initiative addresses a frequently overlooked gap in Tunisia’s entrepreneurial funding landscape: founders already established abroad who possess financial capital and international networks but lack strong ties to local mechanisms.
By building this bridge, Dot Landing can accelerate the transfer of skills and capital into strategic sectors like tech and renewables. Simultaneously, it provides Tunisian investment funds with a steady pipeline of pre-vetted, structurally supported projects ready for scaling, ultimately strengthening the country’s startup investment ecosystem.
