Donald Trump Enters the Smartphone Market with the T1 Phone 8002, Priced at $499 (Approx. €430 Excluding Taxes)
The former US President is taking a bold step into the competitive smartphone market with the launch of the T1 Phone 8002, accompanied by his own virtual operator, Trump Mobile. The device, available for pre-order in a gold version for $100, is expected to be officially released in September 2025.
Trump aims to manufacture this smartphone on US soil, a risky bet in a country where local production of electronic devices has been almost non-existent for years. The Trump Mobile plan is set at $47.45 per month (approximately €41).
The project, led by the Trump Organization, seems as much political as commercial. The phone's aesthetic strongly resembles the iPhone 16, an undisguised nod. According to several sources, Donald Trump has been making numerous calls for the American giant to relocate its production to the US. Tim Cook, Apple's CEO, has countered that building an American production chain capable of meeting demand would be impossible, stating that such a smartphone would cost at least $3,500.
