New Opportunity for Tunisian Industrial Sector

A new opportunity is emerging for the Tunisian industrial sector. Ten industrial enterprises will be selected as part of the Qualitative Growth for Employment (CQE) project to support their transition to responsible climate practices.

Objective

According to a statement from GIZ, the objective is to "help them join the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)", an international program that sets scientific targets for reducing greenhouse gas emissions, in line with the Paris Agreement. This approach enables companies to structure their climate strategy, reduce their environmental footprint, and strengthen their position in international markets.

A Rare Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity for companies to transform their climate strategy into a true competitiveness lever. Selected companies will benefit from tailored support, including:

  • Greenhouse gas emission mapping
  • Definition of ambitious targets
  • Development of a concrete action plan
  • Follow-up to obtain SBTi certification

Eligibility Criteria

The call is open to Tunisian industrial companies that:

  • Have a recent greenhouse gas balance
  • Have been active for at least two years
  • Are registered with the National Register of Enterprises (RNE)
  • Are financially stable

Commitment and Participation

It is essential that the general management is fully committed to the process. Selected candidates must actively participate in the approach and cover the costs of joining the SBTi. Registrations are now open.
