Forbes' Billionaires Ranking Reveals That Having $1 Billion Is No Longer Enough to Make the Cut

The Forbes' billionaires ranking has revealed that possessing a mere $1 billion is no longer sufficient to be counted among the 400 richest individuals in the United States. In fact, the entry threshold for this list has reached a record high of $3.3 billion this year, a $400 million increase from the previous year.

This means that many renowned billionaires, including celebrities and tech leaders, have failed to make the cut for this exclusive club. Notable figures such as Oprah Winfrey, with an estimated fortune of $3 billion, and Kim Kardashian, with $1.7 billion, are not included in this ranking. Taylor Swift ($1.3 billion), Magic Johnson ($1.2 billion), and Arnold Schwarzenegger ($1 billion) are also among those who didn't make the list. Interestingly, for the first time, the number of American billionaires outside the ranking exceeds those who made the list, with a difference of 415 individuals.

The list also includes prominent names from the tech and finance sectors. Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, has a fortune of $1 billion, but currently holds no shares in his company.
