Major Recruitment Campaign Shakes Up Tunisian Public Sector
The Official Journal of the Republic of Tunisia (JORT) No. 128, published on October 24, 2025, revealed a series of ministerial decisions announcing the opening of numerous internal and external competitions, affecting several key ministries, including Education, Social Affairs, Transport, Justice, National Defense, and Religious Affairs.
Ministry of Education Leads the Way
The Ministry of Education stands out with the scope of its internal competitions, most of which are scheduled to take place on December 22, 2025. Over 3,000 positions are up for grabs for various administrative grades:
- 34 general administrator positions
- 188 principal administrator positions
- 469 advisor administrator positions
- 546 administrator positions
- 667 deputy administrator positions
- 712 management secretary positions
- 139 administrative clerk positions
The education sector is also strongly represented, with 1,177 exceptional grade professor positions available through a dossier examination and 160 additional positions available through titles. Other competitions concern the grades of distinguished and aggregated professors.
Diverse Opportunities at Social Affairs
The Ministry of Social Affairs has also published a long list of internal competitions, with exams scheduled for December 24, 2025. These competitions cover several specialties:
- 92 principal social specialist positions
- 88 principal labor inspectors
- 10 principal psychologists
- Several positions for medical labor inspection and engineering
IT positions are also being offered, including analyst and program designer positions.
External Competitions for Transport and Defense
The Ministry of Transport has opened external competitions for the recruitment of first-class engineers and technicians, with exams scheduled for January 26, 2026, and registrations closing on December 25, 2025. The Ministry of National Defense, on the other hand, is planning an internal competition for a higher military education assistant position, with exams scheduled for December 15, 2025.
Justice and Religious Affairs Join In
The Ministry of Justice has relaunched two internal competitions for general administrator and advisor positions, scheduled for December 10 and 11, 2025. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has opened four internal competitions for the promotion of administrators to different grades.
This wave of competitions, with application deadlines ranging from mid-November to late November 2025, marks a willingness to renew public human resources and strengthen administrative efficiency.
