Three Chinese Automotive Component Leaders Explore Tunisia for Production Sites

Three Chinese global leaders in the automotive component sector have embarked on a prospecting mission to Tunisia, with the aim of setting up production sites. This visit confirms Tunisia's growing attractiveness as a strategic industrial platform at the crossroads of Europe, Africa, and Asia.

The delegation was received at the premises of American company CASCO Groupe Amphenol, located in the Bizerte Economic Activity Park. The meeting was attended by the site director of CASCO, the CEO of the park, and the general director of Fipa-Tunisia.

The Chinese groups' stated objective is clear: to leverage Tunisia's competitive advantages, including its proximity to the European market, its preferential trade agreements with Europe and the United States, and its strategic position for serving the African market and even China. This focus on Tunisia is part of a broader strategy to integrate into global automotive value chains.

The Tunisian Investment and Promotion Agency (Fipa-Tunisia) emphasized, on this occasion, its commitment to supporting foreign investors at every stage of their project, from planning to implementation. It also highlighted the importance of creating sustainable partnerships that generate employment opportunities.

With this visit, Tunisia reaffirms its positioning as a promising industrial hub for the automotive industry, relying on local expertise, adapted infrastructure, and openness to major international markets.
