National Chamber of Women Business Leaders Tests Innovative Training Program in Tunis

The National Chamber of Women Business Leaders (CNFCE) has recently tested an innovative training program in Tunis, aimed at supporting women-led enterprises in their ecological transition.

Developed in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), this project aims to provide practical tools to CNFCE members.

Eleven businesswomen, members of the CNFCE executive board, experimented with the program, which includes a guide for trainers and another for participants. These materials are designed to help entrepreneurs integrate ecological practices into their business strategy, taking into account the specific challenges they face.

The program addresses issues such as identifying gaps in current environmental practices and developing adapted strategies for greener businesses. The goal is also to ensure that the ecological transition benefits both business, community, and the planet.

This pilot project is part of the program for decent work for women in Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland. This program aims to strengthen the role of women entrepreneurs in ecological transformation, while promoting a just and inclusive transition.

The CNFCE plans to adjust the content of the manual and guides based on the feedback received during this first session, paving the way for a wider adoption of this initiative in the coming months.
