National Bond Issue 2024: Discussions Begin for Second Tranche

Discussions have commenced regarding the listings of the second tranche of the 2024 national bond issue, which will be quoted on the stock exchange and available for trading as of today, according to the Stock Exchange.

In fact, the Treasury has successfully raised 1,444.7 million dinars for this tranche, far exceeding the initial forecasts of 700 million dinars. This represents a response rate of approximately 206%. The subscribed amounts between May 6 and 13, 2024, mainly come from stock exchange intermediaries (60%) and banks (40%), explained Tunisie Clearing's General Director, Maher Zouari, to the TAP agency. He also pointed out that the Public Treasury had already collected 1,033.7 million dinars for the first tranche of the bond issue, exceeding the initial target of 750 million dinars, with a response rate of 138%, thanks to subscriptions made between February 5 and 13, 2024.

The government plans to mobilize a total of 2.87 billion dinars through the four tranches of the 2024 national bond issue.
