First Edition of Investment Days Kicks Off in Médenine

The first edition of the Investment Days has begun, with the theme "Investing in Médenine," in the presence of investment actors, investors, financial institutions, and support structures from the region. The goal is to promote the governorate of Médenine as an attractive destination for investments.

This event is part of the efforts to boost development and encourage private investment, while highlighting the advantages and opportunities offered by Médenine, emphasized Minister of Economy and Planning, Samir Abdelhafidh.

He also presented the measures taken by the government to stimulate private investment, such as reforming investment legislation, establishing a national strategy for SME development, and creating a specific investment roadmap for regions. Additionally, the ongoing elimination of administrative authorizations and the revision of 100 business activity specifications are also on the agenda.

Abdelhafidh also mentioned the planned launch of the national investment platform in 2025, which will serve as a single point of contact for investors in Tunisia. The goal is to simplify procedures and improve the business climate.

Finally, he highlighted the government's efforts to resolve the difficulties faced by public projects, specifying that sectoral and regional commissions have been created to ensure regular monitoring and accelerate the implementation of pending projects. He also recalled the recent improvement of several economic indicators, including the decrease in the inflation rate to 6% in January 2025, compared to 7% in 2024 and 10% in 2023, as well as a 21.4% growth in foreign direct investments (FDI).
