Tunisian-Senegalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Holds Ordinary General Assembly
The Tunisian-Senegalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CTSCI) held its ordinary general assembly yesterday, August 11, at its headquarters in Tunis. Following the election, the Board of Directors unanimously elected Ali KHRIBI (tax expert - Managing Partner, Up and Co Advice) as the President of the CTSCI, renewing their trust in him to drive a new dynamic of cooperation and development within the organization.
During the opening session, the moral report for the 2024 exercise was presented, highlighting a particularly rich year in initiatives. 2024 marked a turning point in strengthening economic, institutional, and cultural relations between Tunisia and Senegal. Faithful to its mission of promoting bilateral exchanges, the CTSCI multiplied its on-the-ground actions and high-level initiatives to consolidate links between economic actors from both countries.
During the debates, Moez BEN ZID, First Vice-President, emphasized that "there can be no significant business flow without adapted financial support." He recalled the strategic role of a financial institution serving as a bridge, like the Senegalese subsidiary that the Tunisian Bank (STB) had created at one time, facilitating economic exchanges between the two countries.
This dynamic has translated into numerous official meetings, fruitful exchanges, and promising partnerships, in close collaboration with Senegalese and Tunisian diplomatic and economic authorities. These actions illustrate the CTSCI's firm determination to build lasting bridges in the fields of commerce, investment, and culture.
At the closing of the assembly, the CTSCI had the honor of welcoming His Excellency Moustapha SOW, Ambassador of the Republic of Senegal to Tunisia, accompanied by his diplomatic team: Mr. Nianamang KANDE, First Counselor, and Mr. Edmond KAMBY, Second Counselor. The Ambassador expressed his unwavering support for the CTSCI's activities and encouraged the realization of joint ventures between Tunisian and Senegalese actors.
As part of this reinforced collaboration, a cultural, culinary, and business forum is already planned for the end of the year, aiming to promote exchanges in a convivial atmosphere and encourage economic synergies.
The guests then attended a post-assembly cocktail, in an atmosphere conducive to exchanges and consolidation of relations.
